Illinois first lady fired by homeless agency – Chicago Tribune
Patricia Blagojevich was fired this week from her job as chief fundraiser for the homeless organization Chicago Christian Industrial League. The league’s board fired her for undisclosed reasons. Though the governor still has his job, Patricia was also on some of the tapes that have landed her husband in hot water. The league has also been at the center of a great series of stories by the Sun-Times about some possible shady dealings involving the Mayor’s office.

Nicole Cohen writes about a group of teenagers who used to be homeless but now want to give back to the system that helped them in their time of need. They went to Obama’s inauguration and participated in the National Day of Service to give back.
