Faces of the Homeless – Mark in Phoenix

7 Feb, 2009  |  Written by Andre Francisco  |  under Uncategorized

Mark is 22 and has been homeless on the streets of Phoenix for four months. If given three wishes he would only use one: have a job. Here is Mark’s story.

Mark from invisible people on Vimeo.

Mark’s story is from Mark Horvath’s vlog Invisible People, which tells the stories of the homeless in uncut interviews on the street. Horvath used to be homeless, but now works to document the stories of the homeless. This video is Horvath’s most recent, but to view more of his videos you can check out his blog or his Vimeo page.

This post is part of Faces of the Homless, which will be an ongoing feature here at Chicago Homeless Blog. Lots of discussion about the issues of homelessness and news about the homeless is inpersonal and detached from the stories of individuals. The Faces of the Homeless feature will aim to ground coverage and discussion of homeless issues with the stories of the homeless.
